We've been to The Tavern a few times now and have always had a good experience. The past two times, though, have been amazing. Morgan, who is the sweetest, most genuine server there, has been so accommodating. Our first time having her as our server showed how well she could handle a busy section. Not only did she have the entire bar to herself, she has the rest of the dining room too. Being a bartender, I understand how overwhelming that is. She handled it FLAWLESSLY. Tonight was no exception to her willingness to serve her guests. We had ordered shepherds pie and got a meal that wasn't typical of this restaurant. Morgan not only had it remade, but a fresh batch was prepared to replace the original order. The cherry on top was that she called us when it was ready. The restaurant was full, but Morgan made it a point to make sure we were taken care of. There are not enough servers that still care like she does...... THANK YOU MORGAN for your outstanding service :)

If I could give negative stars I would me and my fiancé went there to eat we were ignored by the waitress because she was talking to a couple of her friends I'm guessing in between her talking for a good 10 mins we finally got our food. I order there pub steak witch highest priced item on the menu I asked for it medium rare and it came out well done and was cold stone to the touch. I than asked for the manager and there weren't there so I talked to the co manager. When she was talking to me I felt like was being talked too like a 2 year old. She say tells me that a medium rare is going to be cold. And asked if I wanted it remaked by the time this all happens my fiancé was already finished with his food. I'm not very impressed with the service or the food will not be going back

The food is really good. Burgers, appetizers, whatever you get it great.
It took over 20 minutes to get drinks or appetizers (and we waited a while for anyone to take our order) and over 30 minutes after some of the dinner dishes were cleared to get our check.
We were obviously here for dinner and not just hanging out at the bar. While the food and company were good, the service was abysmal. -

Came for dinner on a Sunday night. Service was great! It wasn't busy. We had the Tavern burger and fish n chips, everyone was very pleased. We will for sure be back!

Do the folks leaving 5 star reviews work here or have friends or family that do? Not sure how anyone rates this place as amazing. The kitchen is slow, the food is mediocre at best, and I just had a bowl of French Onion Soup that'd make a French chef embarrassed to have his country associated with it. I think it may have actually been doused with a barrel of hot sauce back in the kitchen.
If you plan to have a burger here, thinking that bar burgers are generally great wherever you go, you'll be disappointed when you realize that your clutzy cousin Fred grills a better burger in his backyard.
All of that being said, the second star is for the wait staff, who are clearly working hard and doing the best that they can, despite the slow downs in the kitchen and the meh food they're serving.
This was my third visit to the Tavern, and much like in baseball, three strikes and you're out.
